Waterworks New Kitchen Line Reveal!

Waterworks, the purveyor of gorgeous bathrooms, has entered the kitchen market.  Makes sense, doesn't it?  You can now enjoy the fine craftsmanship and inventive details they're known for in your kitchen.  Last week I had a  chance to tour the Georgetown showroom and was so impressed with how expansive the styling of kitchen line is.  This kitchen, with the floor-to-ceiling navy ceramic tiles, and the two-toned cabinet combination was one of my favorites.

This hammered nickel sink was stunning. Waterworks has a full range of sink options to choose from.

Notice the bolt detail in the center of the knob above and the the hinge and pull below.

This kitchen is a  modern take on mid-century styling. Waterworks also carries a full line of kitchen accessories and pot racks.  (Forgot to take a snapshot of the pot rack that incorporates a light fixture - very smart idea.)

Love the laundry-style sink.  Cabinets are available in a vibrant range of sophisticated colors and wood finishes.

The showroom featured a few wet bars and butler pantries to give you an idea of how the cabinets can be used throughout your home.  Love the dual faucets here.

The new lighting is amazing.  Even if you aren't looking for cabinetry, you should add Waterworks to your list of places when you're searching for that perfect lighting fixture.

Double side-by-side sinks with two faucets. Why don't we see this more often?  Think of how perfect this would be at Thanksgiving!

Finally, the faucets!!! I've seen illustrations of the Regulator kitchen faucet but in-person it is amazing.

Stopped

Every once and a while you see an image that stops you in your tracks and leaves you wow-ed.  That's how I felt when I came across this image from The Scout Guide (TSG) here - from a post celebrating 100 volumes of TSG.

We're headed to Nashville and Lexington on spring break and the first place I headed to check scout out stores and restaurants was the The Scout Guide for these two cities (Nashville Scout Guide and Lexington Scout Guide). If you have any tips too I'd love to hear them.  Hope it's feeling like Spring where you are!

Hotel Inspiration

Here's some eye candy from our stay at the Hotel Palomar -Chicago, with design by the amazing Orlando Diaz-Azcuy.  The plaster reliefs in the lobby hall were stunning and the seating in the lounge was smart, comfortable and perfectly scaled.  The space planning used every available square foot with six separate gathering areas.  My favorite spot was right here by the fireplace.

Need to addOrlando Diaz-Azcuy's book to my wish list!

Orlando Diaz-Azcuy & Hotel Palomar Chicago

I'm headed to Chicago and am particularly excited this time because it finally worked out that I was able to book a room at the Hotel Palomar.  The fun part is that I realized just the other night that the hotel's design was done by the amazing Orlando Diaz-Azcuy.  Looking forward to seeing it in person.  In the meantime here's some of the beautiful rooms he's created.
